Dorchester winner

Winner of the Dorchester Shomi Writing Contest November 2008 was Gayle Ann Wiliiams for her novel, Tsunami Blue. This will be published by Dorchester in 2010.

Check her website for details. And isn't this a lovely comment?

"We had a lot of great entries for the contest, but I have to say that this one stood out from the very beginning for me because of its fascinating premise and incredibly well-drawn characters."

Editor, Dorchester Publishing

Contest note from Kelly -

Young Adult manuscript "The Dog Ate My Teacher" was a finalist in the Authors of Romance RWA 2008 Launching a Star contest (unfortunatly, you either win or you're a finalist...I'm a finalist)

"Pleasant Lake P.D." came in 1st place in the Ancient City RWA 2008 Mary Reade Award.

"Pleasant Lake P.D." came in 2nd place in the Heart of Louisiana RWA 2008 Labor of Love.

Check me out at www.contestdivas.blogspot.com. I'm in the lead with 17 finals, but I don't know how long that will last before someone overtakes me.

I copied and pasted a bunch of contests and some workshops from the info I get. Maybe some of these will work for some of you.
